1. Are there maintenance fees for the Lots when owned?
Yes, the $220.00 per month fee includes use of the common grounds, resort amenities, water, sewer,lot maintenance and repair and 24- hour security.
2. Are Guests Welcome?
Yes. Management must be made aware of how many guests and their arrival and departure dates.
There is a maximum of 3 people per RV. Children under 6 years old are free. $10.00 extra per additional guest.
3. Are there property taxes for the lots?
Yes. Property tax is approximately 3.95% of Nye County assessed value per year.
4. Is the water metered for the motorhome?
No. The cost of the water (and sewer charges) to the owner is included in the maintenance fee.
5. Is financing available for the lots?
Yes. There will be in-house financing available or you can seek your own financing.
6. What is the prospective future valuation increase for the lots?
Desert Retreat is a competitively priced upscale motorcoach resort in the Western States.
When you calculate the future development of the resort, the potential for increased property value is highly probable.
7. Is there a restriction on the motorhome's age and/or appearance to be acceptable in the Resort?
Appearance is important in order to be acceptable in the resort.
Blocks 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10 and 12 (Lots 1 to 14 only) are for Class A motorhomes only.
Blocks 1, 2, 9, 12 (Lots 15 to 29 only), 13, and 14 are designated for Class A, Class C motorhomes 25 feet and over and 5th wheels 25 feet and over.
Motorhomes 10 years or older will be subject to management inspection and approval.
8. Is storage for Trailers (pull behinds for the Class A's) available?
There is storage available at the Resort.
9. What size are the Lots?
The lot sizes vary from 1,200 to 4,300 sq. ft. with pad length from 39 to 90 foot long.
There is additional land for amenities on some lots.
10. When selling his lot, must a lot owner sell his property through Desert Retreat?
No. An owner may sell his own property, or he can ask us to sell it for him.
11. Can a lot owner build his own option package on his site?
The architectural committee approves the plan. We will provide an estimate to have the work completed by our construction crew.
